How to display EPG from 2 PVR Backends?
#1
Hi,

I am running 2 PVR Backends (DVBLink & DVBViewer) and they are both enabled in XBMC but only the EPG is displayed from DVBLink. If I disable the DVBLink Backend then the DVBViewer EPG is displayed. How can I get both to display at the same time? They are different channels by the way so I can see no reason why they wont both be displayed at the same time?

Many Thanks

Thanks for the reply,

I run my satellite feed through DVBLink & Cable Feed Through DVBViewer... The method works perfectly but surprised this is causing a problem as XBMC supports 2 backends but will not display the channels for both simultaneously

Ah that makes sense.

In this case, you have two different PVR tuner installed in your PC? Why won't u use a backend, which supports multiple tuner? (ArgusTV for example). This would solve your problem. Because only one PVR plugin is needed and you have everything centralized.

well I am pretty committed to DVBLink to be honest as I have spent a lot of money on it and it handles everything perfectly along with a 14 day EPG which I love so I may need to have a rethink... strange that XBMC mentions in the Live TV setup to only choose certain options when using one PVR Backend which kinda makes me think that running two is possible?

Why can't DVBLink do both?

I suppose all other backends can do multiple tuners at once. Unfortunately using multiple backends is quite rare so there are lots of bugs to iron out, I've been meaning to get a spare DVB-T stick so I can try it out and maybe fix some things but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
