[Fire TV and MyCloud] streaming issues
#1
I was using XBMC installed on a FireTV streaming videos wireless from a MyCloud storage device without any problems until some day ago. Unfortunatelly, now this configuration aren't functioning properly anymore and I don't know the reason! The videos are stuttering. I've tried to modify the buffering configuration through advancedsettings.xml but without any success. I have also tried the Gotham and Helix versions.

Yesterday, I've noticed that the problem happens only when using SMB. If I add my source from UPnP there are no streaming issues and the videos are flawless. But through UPnP I don't have the wonderful XBMC metadata and subtitles capability.

Can't anyone have any idea if there is a configuration to improve the streaming through SMB so it works exactly like UPnP?

People have reported that NFS is more reliable than SMB.

The problem is mounting a NFS point on my NAS using "Windows 8.1 Home Edition". Apparently this version doesn't have this component.

Your NAS should show up as 192.168.1.xx, no?
