I'm running XBMC Gotham 12.2 and about to put a drive image back onto my system. The image is old so I'll need to do some updating. I have two questions

What folders do I need to backup to preserve my data bases and will there be any problems copy and pasting those files to a fresh install of Kodi?

You would need C:\Users\Your_Name_Here_\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\userdata folder, but if you want the add-ons etc, then the whole roaming folder might be your target. There might be an issues installing after the fact....(overwriting Kodi data) best to copy it before the install then follow on screen recommendations to move & delete.

You could just export your library to a single file, then import with Kodi... I did it that way it it worked well, just pay attention to the advancedsettings.xml settings if you want to save your viewed previously flags.
