A buddy brought over his new M8 box and wanted to know how to delete some adult add-on. Yup it shipped loaded with all kinds of add-ons, and as most are non-functional and embarrassing, I thought it would be a simple task to delete inside XBMC (comes shipped with Gotham 13.2) but the remove/disable/delete is ghosted. Any add-ons that I manually add, can be deleted within this function. But not the shipped ones, there is some sort of file viewer (Android 4.4) but it doesn't seem to show a clear structure to the add-on folder.
Any words would be good, that don't include trash the box.

You have to do it using a file manager then. i use ES file explorer.
1. Open it and to the left there is a LOCAL dropdown list under Fast Access menu, open Local menu and click in 0 (internal storage).
2. Open TOOLS dropdown list and enable Show Hidden Files option, go back to LOCAL dropdown list
The whole path would be:
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc
3. Once you be in .xbmc path go to addons folder and remove the unwanted addons
4. Go one step back (to .xbmc folder) and go to userdata/addon_data and remove the data collected from the unwanted addons already removed
My XBMC/Kodi folder: addons, skins, addon/menu backgrounds & more

Thanks so much for that, I've been reading some of Minix forum messages, it's scary, glad it's not mine.
