Hi
Would there be a possibility of installing the .kodi folder (Addons, Userdata etc) to an external USB HDD when installing KODI?
This could be an enhancement to the current "Back Door" method.
Regards
Michael

Do you mean asking the location at first run?
Not currently. The other platforms are using environment variables for this, and the "backdoor" is just a way to reproduce the same behavior on Android.
It is surely something to consider for user-friendliness, but it's not android-specific.

Hi Koying
considering it for user friendliness would be great and yes I do mean on first run/installation. Platform specific is not necessary, being able to install the .kodi folder on an external drive (being USB or Network) on ANY platform would be great.
I am sure you Developers with your great inds could come up with something.
Certainly worth considering - I think.
Many thanks
