done that, is better, but still the Kodi player colours are a bit "too rich" and overall image overexposed (although like this can be acceptable, but not perfect)

Have you tried adjusting the "Use limited color range" settings in system->video options in Kodi that an earlier poster suggested? I had a problem where the colors seemed off, was down to a mismatch between the TV expecting limited range RGB, Kodi was set to send limited range, yet the driver options were set to full range. Once I'd got everything all set the same (full range RGB) then this resolved the problem.

You've basically got 3 places to set this, the TV/Monitor, the graphics card settings (check box for limited/full color range under the "color enhancement" section for Intel drivers) and in Kodi itself (System -> Video). If they don't all match then you will get weird colors.
