a newbie question here. I was able to use an MCE remote with gotham with no problem then one day remote stopped working (usb ir unit did flash and respond to button press) but thereis NO option under peripherals for using a remote. seems to have vanished. This is a XBMCBUNTU install. any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks

Gotham not really supported here anymore....so you will have to use the search or google to come up with a solution..In the past mine has stopped working after a dist upgrade as the old lirc files were overwritten by a newer ver...if you haven't seen the lirc console screen then that's prob not the issue in your case...
