specifically the avast antivirus "hips" (monitors the system for malware like behavior and unauthorized modifications) service warns for the the vc x86 redistibutable 2013 from c:/users/user/local/temp/vc2013 archive that it tries to modify a protected resouce , "startup settings" , maybe its because "hips has been set in high sensitivity or maybe not , it even set the same for when i reinstalled 14.2 helix but for trying to modify the "microsoft/run-once .


the ccm skin by jessx doesnt have the check for updates to the left and i cant use the mouse wheel to change a videos display ?

If you don't trust the Kodi windows installer you can always get vcreddist _x86.exe for the 2013 runtimes directly from MS:
