Certain files crashing kodi
#1
There are a select few mkvs in my collection that crash kodi after playing for exactly 5 seconds. I can count the files on a single hand, however they are each recent episodes of currently airing shows. It happens every time I try to play these files, and they each play perfectly fine on VLC on my windows PC. So this tells me there is probably some codec issue within kodi. How would I go about troubleshooting what is actually causing the crash?

I have 15.0 installed on a rooted fireTV

update to 15.2rc2, turn on debugging, reproduce the issue, then provide a debug and, if available, a crashlog

The video plays for about 5 seconds at around 29-30fps, and then the screen flashes for a moment and freezes in place, while the fps drops to about 9. The audio continues to play, but gets choppy. I am getting an increasing number of files doing this in my library.

I turned off libstagefright, and the files are no longer freezing.

IIRC, I had it turned on for some older AVI files I have in my library. Does that sound about right?
