Yes I believe it will show a parent repeating timer in the first timer screen, but if you click on it, you will see an empty list (since it has no children instances, just like an empty folder in file view of Videos section)

Oh, I didn't know that, that's great. Do we also set the default? Not that I think that should change. I like these timer names:

Single
Series
Manual
Manual Repeating
WishList
WishList Repeating

But maybe I am too tied with wmc's nomenclature. Maybe others have suggestions? From a support standpoint, there might be a problem moving too far from kodi-type names, so in that respect yours might be better.

It does - quite messy if you have lots of series recordings for series that have ended. Would be better if only the timers that have something scheduled are shown in the default view...

Or make it an option, because I occasionally go through the series recordings deleting ones that are either complete or I don't care about anymore, before kodi16 the only way to do that was in wmc
