Since power outage Kodi will not load
#1
Today I was installing some add on's in Kodi when we had a power outage. After the power came back on I restarted the computer and Kodi and noticed that Kodi was running in a window instead of full screen. I am currently using NextPVR as my pvr but that should not make a difference, NextPVR does start and run by its self. I shut kodi and the computer and restarted it and now Kodi will not start back up. I get a error cannot start application. I tried to reinstall Kodi but all I get is errors. I am running Isengard 15.2. Would a log file help? If so I will try to get one tomorrow. Right now wife is watching TV using WMC. I hope I do not have to do a full reinstall as I am finally getting Kodi the way I want it.

I was disappointed that no body had any help or suggestions for my problem. I finally decided to uninstall and reload Kodi and when I did everything came back as it was before the power outage including any add on's I had installed. How can this be as I completely uninstalled it including the program file?
Before I uninstalled it I tried to find a log file but had no luck. Can someone point me in the right direction to find it? I am new with using Kodi and could use some help. I am trying to move away from WMC.

Details of where to find the log file are here on the wiki.

For the other bit, I think when you uninstall your Userdata (wiki) folder can remain behind. That's where a lot of the info Kodi stores is kept, so when you reinstall it gets picked up again and reused.

FYI: Kodi keeps userdata in the folder C:\Users\Your_Name\AppData\Roaming\Kodi as well as C:\Program Files (x86)\Kodi

I don't know what tool you used to uninstall, but thankfully, it kept your userdata intact. Log file/Easy (wiki)

It's usually the converse, in that a lot of issues are fixed by deleting the userdata folder, and allowing Kodi to rebuild it.
