How to rename profile in Kodi?
#1
Hello Kodi support,

is there a way how to rename a profile in the Kodi?
I´m running the OSMC on the RPi2 and when I started "playing" with it I created "testing" profile...
But time go pass and I continue "tuning" this profile and now I have everything setup under that, so I would like to name it properly.
Suddenly there is only option to remove the profile, not rename it Confused

Thank you for advise. Nod

~/.kodi/userdata/profiles.xml looks like quite a simple solution...

Ohh, in the "osmc" user home, but in the hidden folder.
Thank you very much.

Well, yes... That's where all Kodi configurations should be found.

Remove the profile without removing the data, then rename the actual directory (optional), then make a new profile and make sure it is pointed to the right directory (profiles can be pointed to specific directories). I think.

I'm sure that should be made way more easy

I edited just the XML file, to change only the showing profile name.
I did NOT thouch anything on filesystem.

But when I login I was not able do anything: add/remove files, change something in GUI. It just beep and nothing happend.

Its does not matter now, I already removed it and spent ~30 mins to re-setup everything again Sad
