and I have done this many times, and it says only version 14 works on the Apple TV 2.

However, if you go to the 2nd installation method, here's what it says:

"NitoTV on the Apple TV 2

Scroll right to the NitoTV menu on the Apple TV and choose the first option "Install Software".
Scroll down the list until you see "Kodi-ATV2" and click on that.
From that menu press "install" and your Apple TV will install Kodi and then do a SOFT reboot (no tethered boot required).
Kodi will now be in your Apple TV menu, scroll right to it, click and enjoy.

And you're done! You should now be running Kodi v16.0 Jarvis for Apple TV 2. See here to verify your Kodi version. "

So... how do I get 16.0 Jarvis on the Apple TV 2?

Through NitoTV?

When I try to install with NitoTV, it just hangs there and says the installation was successful and tells me to hit menu to exit. Then I reboot the apple tv 2 but kodi 16.0 jarvis is not installed.

atv2 is abandoned for the atv2 - 14.2 was the last kodi version for this platform.

And look at the webpage I linked.

It says after you install kodi with nitotv, you will have Jarvis 16.0.

Why on earth would they deliberately edit that part to say this:

"And you're done! You should now be running Kodi v16.0 Jarvis for Apple TV 2. See here to verify your Kodi version. "

Well we stopped to build Kodi for ATV2 and i even ripped out the atv2 code from our codebase.

I think this is a bug in the wiki which automatically replaces the version...
