I want to update my genres audio node to list albums, not artists. If I copy the music folder from /usr/share/kodi/(etc) to the correct folder in ~/.kodi/(etc) and edit the contents tag to "albums" instead of "artists" it still lists artists.
Can I update the default audio nodes?

PS: I'm very new to Kodi aswell as linux. I just decided to give it a try - moving from MediaPortal on Windows

Yes you can change or remove the default nodes. But unfortunately that is not how that node works (although it was reasonable to think it might).
