I'm using Kodi 16.1
I understand that Stereo Upmix allows to convert 2.0 channel into 5.1. What I'm looking for is the other way. i.e. separate out 5.1 audio channels, process it and downmix into 2.0 channels in such a way that while listening using ordinary headphones I get 5.1 effect! I've done that using a trick explained at https://pcloadletter.co.uk/2011/04/05/5-...eadphones/ using MCP-HC. It's fantastic!
I found a very old thread discussing this, http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=210845.
Now that Audio DSP is implemented I was wondering if HRTF is a reality with Kodi.
