Consumer mode

We need a consumer mode that can be turned off only with a password. The purpose of the consumer mode is to have it on for users that will only be consuming content set up by a more advanced user.
When switched to consumer mode, Kodi cannot scan for changes, remove from library, delete files, rename, edit titles, or change settings.
Master lock does not provide this kind of limitation but it is more blunt. And profiles is a lot of work for just having a consumer mode.

this is called kiosk mode - and some skins have this as an option.

IMPORTANT:
The official Kodi version does not contain any content what so ever. This means that you should provide your own content from a local or remote storage location, DVD, Blu-Ray or any other media carrier that you own. Additionally Kodi allows you to install third-party plugins that may provide access to content that is freely available on the official content provider website. The watching or listening of illegal or pirated content which would otherwise need to be paid for is not endorsed or approved by Team Kodi.
