I followed a guide on how to get the latest Kodi on the latest Raspbian image, and it works in every way except one. I can't get any video playback at all.
I'm not sure what other info you may need or how to find this so please let me know.
I'm sure it's probably something simple that I've missed as I'm a bit of a noob with Pis.
Thanks

You only have 64MB of GPU RAM, that's why. You need at least 128 MB, 256 is the recommended for PI 2 and 3.
Also, that repo has a armv7 Kodi version, which should give a little bit better performance on the Pi 2 and 3.

So - and I know this will probably be a dumb question to you - what would you suggest I do/how do I go about it? Happy to do some reading if you can point me in the right direction.
That's if there is anything I can do...

Easiest is to run raspi-config and set the gpu memory size.
It's available from main menu in raspbian desktop or you can launch a command line version.

Thank you this has fixed it. Apologies if that was a really simple thing to have known about/done, as I say I'm a bit of a noob.

Hi Jason! My recommendation is : if you want raspbian for some reason that you need raspbian is to do a dual boot, raspbian + libreelec.
Or, if you don't need raspbian and only need the kodi you can install only libreelec.
