v17 Debian; volume goes to max between programs
#1
Hi all,

I'm new to Kodi but seem to have everything working pretty well.

One thing I *think* I've noticed though is that I have to keep resetting the volume as it bounces back up to max between watching one program and another.

Does this ring any bells with anyone?

I'm looking into whether it might be to do with group membership of the audio group (ie kodi?)

or something that might be debnian/pulse related but not seeing any obvious hits on google.

This is 17.1 Debian package version: 2:17.1+dfsg1-3 Media Center Kodi from Debian
Linux willixps15 4.9.0-3-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.30-2+deb9u3 (2017-08-06) x86_64 GNU/Linux

Dell XPS15 9560 laptop.

TIA

sounds like a pulseaudio config issue. IIRC debian enables "flatten volume" by default

Yeah ... think so too. Nothing we can do.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
