start the Pi using the iOS remote
#1
Hi, fairly new here...

I have build a Pi 3B with Kodi, loaded VPN and some other add-ons, works nicely in combination with my Synology.

Now, I manage easily to switch off the Pi by using the official remote on my iPhone., which works brilliant by the way.  Is there a way to switch the Pi on the same way...? (I can't get it to work).

Thanks!

After the RPi has powered down, the only way to 'wake it up' is to unplug and re-plug in the power cable. Or use a switch of some sorts on the power cable/adapter.

Or try something like this: https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/qu...i3-back-on

Just leave it on all the time.  I have an RPI 2 that has been powered on 24/7/365 for nearly 3 years and 3 RPI model Bs that have been running since sometime in 2014.  The power consumption is next to nothing.
