Using Kodi 18.2 in windows.
Kodi 18.3 in linux.

Trying to get categories in "favourites.xml" to work.


Example to add science category & news category
 

<favourite name="[COLOR green]==== Science ====[/COLOR]" >noop</favourite>
... Science related favourites
 <favourite name="[COLOR blue]==== News ====[/COLOR]" >noop</favourite>
... News related favourites

This works perfectly in Super Favorites.

But I would preferred to get plain Favorites to work instead.

I have tried replacing the noop with a ActivateWindow(10025,"shortcut to addon",return).

Still no luck on getting it to work.

Plain Favorites will only show colored text for the first category.

Any Ideas ?

Correct, favourites atm uses a flat file format; for hierarchical format use Video nodes (wiki)

works perfectly in Super Favorites.

Yes if SF works well for you, by all means enjoy the add-on.
