Hey guys,

as u see on the screenshot ive added, kodi sometimes doesnt detect that the Movie is a HDR Movie. When i play the movie with my Nvidia Shield my TV switches automatically to HDR but the icon says its SDR its so annoying.
In all of my HDR10+ content the icon still says its SDR.

Does anybody have a solution for this icon issue.

For kodi AEON be able to recognize (to display in fact) files characteristics you must use the good tags in the file name.
I suggest you to search for AEON tags in Google.

Some characteristics for video/audio files are automaticaly detected, other must be wrote as tags in file name.

Title (years) - 4K.hevc.10bit.x265.mkv

In the filename, need have .hdr. same to bit depth .10bit.  .12bit.

For HDR10+, Wanilton could confirm, there is no specific tag
You will only see HDR and 10bit

For Dolby Vision it seems to be same problem. No tag available.

For Dolby Vision and hdr10 there is no tag in AEON MQ8 so

It should be interesting that :
.hdr10. works like .hdr. to display at least HDR and in futur HDR10

Actually to display good tag I have to twice tag by :

.hdr.hdr10.

The raison why I double tag :

.hdr. to display HDR in AEON
.hdr10. for me to know that this file is compatible with HDR10 and I hope that futur tag in AEON could be .hdr10. to display HDR10 in AEON

But in fact, as  all HDR10 are HDR, only one place should be necessary in AEON.
In the name of file we should have to write only one of both : .hdr. or .hdr10.

no tag -> SDR
.hdr. -> HDR
.hdr10. -> HDR10

I think that it could be easyly added in actual AEON MQ8 (I saw in transifex that modifications have been already set for tags)
