I got a message after Kodi startup that 18.7 is available but I don't see any update on the Play Store. Do we have to download it from the website?

There were some issues with 18.7 on Android, so the roll-out was stopped.
The problems have now been resolved, and 18.7.1 will be rolling out to the Play Store shortly. As always though not everyone will get it immediately (to allow for just such scenarios as occurred, given the rather fragmented nature of Android and the multiplicity of devices and configurations out there), so please be patient. Or if you desperately want it, you can get it from the website and sideload it.
