Good. Then your issue is with Mediacodec. Transcode the file and deinterlace it with ffmpeg so that it is progressive afterwards.
I don't know how that works so I tried ffworks (for MAC). I get this output:
Don't know if I used the correct encoding options. I ticked 'progressive;. That's all.
