My nvidia Shield 2019 is currently doing the auto-update. So far it's been about 45 mins. I'm using Aeon Nox Silvo skin. Currently it says "Building Menu". Is it supposed to take this long? Thanks.

If a normal menu build-up takes only a few minutes, then 45 minutes is obviously not by design.
I've moved your thread to the Aeon NOX section for now.
FYI, big/major updates of Kodi are preferably done with the default skin enabled. Not all skins are available in newer versions at the time of a new Kodi release.
