Solved Changing the audio stream freezes the video
#1
Hello,
When I change the audio stream of a video, the video freezes for ~5sec and I have no sound. The sound comes back ~30sec later but it stutters.
I need to stop and replay the video to stop the stuttering.

I am on ArchLinux with kodi 19.3 installed from archlinux repositories. I tried on a virtual machine on Archlinux with the same video file and I have no problem.

Here are the logs:
kodi.log

The problem seems to be related to:
2022-02-14 18:51:21.353 T:75575 ERROR <general>: ActiveAE::InitSink - failed to init
2022-02-14 18:51:47.470 T:75575 WARNING <general>: ActiveAE - large audio sync error: -25252.170694

Do you have any idea how to solve the problem ?

I noticed that the problem comes from pipewire.
By installing the pulseaudio package instead of pipewire-pulse the problem is solved.

Please open an issue on GitHub. The pipe wire sink is very new and chances are high that the drain method / flush method has some bugs left, which is needed on switching.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
