There still is a bug with the cookie crumb.
I pushed a new version v5.2.2 which should hopefully take care of those situations.

The latest version v5.2.5 for KODI 17+18 should also take care of the problems with an existing invalid "cookies.txt" file.
If an issue is detected in that regard, the old cookies.txt gets removed and a new cookie will be fetched.
So no more manually deleting "cookies.txt". I hope it helps. :-)

The main code work came from @ronie . I just did some debugging and additional changes/optimizations. :-D
It seems yahoo did change something again yesterday causing the addon to stop working again though.

Just to clarify:
According to my testing on 5+ clean (Windows) Kodi test systems v5.2.5 did work until yesterday on both Kodi 17+18 without problems.
Yesterday it broke on all the test systems because yahoo.com most likely did (again) change something.
