I recently got new Bluetooth headphones that can send instructions to pause/resume when I tap a headphone control, or if I take them off and put them back on again.

This works with other Windows applications like the built-in Movies app but it doesn't work with Kodi.

Is it possible to get this working with a setting or a plugin?

There's a lot of device controllers around, almost impossible to offer drivers & functionality for all. When it comes to bluetooth, more complications arise, suggest that Remote controls (wiki) remapping might work out. Keymap (wiki) the Keymap Editor add-on will be the best approach.
