YouTube 7.0.1 add-on in KODI "The following content is not available on this app."
#1
For the last week, every YouTube video I try to view in the Kodi YouTube app, generates the following error:
"The following content is not available on this app."   Consistently, no ifs, no buts.

What I've tried:
Sign out and back in to YouTube App
Completely new API, key, ID and Secret - twice
Complete reinstall of the YouTube App and also of Kodi.
All the other parts of Kodi work, and the other addons, live TV, Movies, Music, Weather- no issues.

The YouTube app on Mac OS works OK, YouTube in a browser on Mac OS works OK.
So I'm fairly confident it's the Kodi YouTube App that's at fault.
Or that YouTube is not allowing the Kodi YouTube App to play videos.

I can see my subscriptions and search for more videos in the YouTube App, just can't play them.
Mac OS X 10.15.7 - Kodi 20.1.0 - YouTube App 7.0.1 - Mac mini with Phillips 43" TV

Any ideas on what I could do to fix this?
Or is there something else happening?

I'm in exactly the same boat as of yesterday.  Everything was working fine two days ago, but I started getting the same error and behavior last night.

Just so happens, thats why im here, Sent this error to Lunatix of PTVL who looked and said "PseudoTV Live requires duration/runtime information to generate the EPG. It looks like the error is with the youtube plugin while retrieving duration meta."
I have been running Kodi Nexus, With PTVL 0.4.2 and Youtube 7.0.1 giving me errors, but using it to build channels and lists, and if i copy them back to my Currently Running system, Which is  PTVL 0.3.8 with Youtube 6.8.18+matrix.1 The channels all load up fine and most play no problem. Still get a few episodes when you play, it says, this item not available, but 2 or 3 more attempts and they play. So looking like the problem is in Youtube 7.0.1, we await a fix.

Well I don't know what happened, but when I came to Kodi today and I tried the YouTube Addon, I had to sign in with two codes at google.com/device again -  and now it's all working.

I'll report back if this changes.

I had the same issue as you last night. This morning it was working normally again. But this afternoon the same error has re-appeared.

Is that from the Dashboard where you make the API key?

Then in the evening the error returned and now the next day, today the error is still there.

I tried signing out and in again with the two codes, but still getting error.

It feels like someone somewhere, is looking at it, but has yet to complete a fix.

If you haven't fixed it already, Go download the new addons from github
  https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.vide.../7.x.x-dev
it looks like the 7.0.2 for Nexus still has a fault causing buffering, but the 6.8.26.Alpha1 for matrix, seems to work fine for the moment.

Thank you

I downloaded 6.8.26.Alpha (seems I got Apha2 somehow), turned off auto update in 7.0.1, Uninstalled 7.0.1, installed 6.8.26.Apha2, entered my API, key, ID and Secret, signed in again with the two codes at google.com/device.

I'm still on Kodi 20.1

And now it's all working.

Hello,

It isn't working, I have installed this -> https://github.com/anxdpanic/plugin.vide...5-new2.zip

I have a Raspberry Pi3 B+ with Kodi Matrix 19.4 (Libreelec 10.0.3)

Does someone know which youtube addon release it's the one that I should install in order to get everything working fine as before?

Here is the log with the errors when I try to reproduce any video, it isn't loading properly, I can't play them.

https://paste.kodi.tv/vutubufeki.kodi

Thanks.
