I use TinyMediaManager to scrape movies and TV, like I have been for almost 2 years with zero issues. Suddenly Kodi has decided not to scrape media with local info, even though it can play it and even display correct artwork using the file manager, but it just won't scan it to library.

Not using tmm/another program just isn't an option because of shows I watch with different orders for aired vs DVD release etc.

I have the same issue.
I also use TMM which worked perfectly, now it is not working anymore, Kodi is not adding my video files to the library.
I even updated to Kodi Nexus 20.5 but that did not solve the problem.

Thanks, but still not good.
1. You haven't enabled debug mode, so not enough detail
2. You have scanned the library, but nothing was added, so nothing to see.
Delete a movie/tv show, then let it scan in with debug mode enabled

Not sure what you mean for step 2 - I have an empty library and I'm trying to scan media in.

I think I might have caught something though - the log says "searching for metadata.local" but in each folder the metadata is named "(video file name).nfo". Could this be causing it?

Can't see that, but do see the following...
Searching for 'Transformers - Rise of the Beasts' using Local information only scraper which is normal.

Shouldn't be.
Can you provide
1. a screenshot of one of your movie folders so I can clearly see all the files and their extensions.
2. Also post the contents of the nfo file to Kodi Paste Site and provide the link.

Looks like Kodi cannot see the nfo files for some reason

No problems. Scans ok into my library.

I am at a bit of a loss as to why the nfo files cannot be seen.
Maybe some other members will have ideas.

Great that you tested on Windows as that was going to be my next suggestion. Obvioiusly an issue with the Android box, unfortunately I am not an Android user, so I have no idea.

I did find a similar post from a little while ago (heavily featuring you actually) that prompted me to check on windows, the OP had to factory reset his Shield device to fix it - maybe that's how I have to do it

As I have the same problem I will also provide a screenshot of my nfo file, screenshot of my movie folder and a kodi log file.
What version of TMM are you using?

I note you have used movie.nfo
Have you enabled the setting Movies are in separate folders that match the filename?
