I am trying to get the 360 wireless controller to work in XBMC and just got the adapter today. I installed the software before plugging in the USB adapter, but neither joy2mouse or joy2key recognize that the wireless controller is connected to the PC...has anyone else experienced this problem before? I've tried it on two different computers so far so I am really perplexed...and yes I have pressed the button on the receiver and the controller so they should be syncing up.

Haven't tried those programs, but I've been using Xpadder with my XBOX 360 controller, and haven't had any problems with it, so you might want to try that one.

No dice...is it possible that this receiver is just defective? Although windows does show it as working properly in device manager, so I don't know what the problem could be.

Have you tried playing a game with the controller to see that it actually works ?
