guys,
Does anyone know a way you can force a factory restore if as soon as the device hits the main menu it freeze's

is there anything i can do from putty ??

or

can boxee and xbmc be manually removed ??

I believe you can pull the power plug and hold down "Menu" and "-" as the Apple TV boots.

Edit: Seems like you might not need to pull the power plug...

Hold down the Menu and Menu down/scroll (-) buttons on the remote for approximately 3 to 5 seconds, until the LED on Apple TV flashes yellow.
