i had the same issue,
i'll try explain it to you to make it a little more clear.

when you refresh a movie, tvshow or something alike
the scraper suggests a few titles
if yours is not in it, you have to select the 'manual'
button, to change the title so it might find the right movie.

trouble is with keys, i have not found a way to select the button
tough using a computer i can always fall back on my mouse
i don't know how that is on xbox but i suppose you just can't click the button?
or is there a secred combo to get on that button :p

I know this doesn't answer your question, but I would recommend downloading the program called "XBMC Media Companion". It lets you do all the scraping from a PC in your house and then stores all the info with your movies. It's much easier in the long run.

you can also just create a nfo file for the movie ..
a plain text file with one line in it .. the imdb link

nothing like workarounds eh ;P

i choose the stupid way, actually solving the problem. open the xml in question (dialogselect). you will notice that the list control (3) have two sets of onleft and onright's. remove the faulty ones. tada

sorry we (at least i am) are not that technical
so could you explain a little more what exactly you did?

where can i find that xml file and what exactly did you delete
because it would help to know what i'm deleting without just deleting rows i don't have a clue what they mean Smile

thanks for all the ideas already though

i'll sure give that media companion a try...

*EDIT*

ok, was beeing to fast again,
i figured it out.
@Boushard: as Spiff told, best way is to open dialogselect.xml its in the folder /skins/aeon/720p/dialogselect.xml
open it in notepad or something alike
scroll down to <control type="list" id="3">
immediatly below that node you got subnodes like
posx, posy, onup, ondown, onleft, onright

you can see the onleft and onright node are there twice
i'm not sure how to know which onleft / onright node is the right one
but i deleted 1 of the 2 sets, and started xbmc to see if it worked,
somehow my main menu was fucked up already and my backdrops dissapeared
so i closed it down and placed the onleft and onright node i deleted back
and deleted the other 2.
and now it works, when i press left or right it jumps to the 'manual' button.

neat

thanks to spiff for the technical solution
thanks to the others for workarounds on media management.
