Hi,
I've just accidentally ran across a peculiar thing: a seemingly idling XBMC (just fresh after the whole system boot up). The measurements taken half an hour after system restart. The 'top' under Ubuntu 8.04.2 shows that xbmc.bin is consuming over 50% of the cpu:
--------
Cpu(s): 55.6%us, 1.5%sy, 0.0%ni, 42.0%id, 0.2%wa, 0.3%hi, 0.3%si, 0.0%st
Mem: 3369600k total, 236220k used, 3133380k free, 6628k buffers
Swap: 4000144k total, 88k used, 4000056k free, 113428k cached
PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
5899 xbmc 20 0 152m 57m 37m R 60 1.7 6:27.03 xbmc.bin
---------
Do I misread the stats? Or can it be that my AMD CPU just dropped the frequency to 1Ghz due to low system usage (and hence, it's 50% not of 2.5Ghz AMD2 I have, but only of 1GHz)...
