not much to ask for. just an option so you could set it to play left speaker only or right speaker only for those multilanguage asian movies.

already in.. check osd when playing a video with stereo source audio. and don't ask when it was added, it's in current cvs

how to control audio channel balance in xbmc?

some movie files (.rm .mpg, etc) have left-right channels for
2 different languages.

- with a vcd player (.mpg only), we can switch audio
channels to select languages.

- in pc, we can adjust channel balance (.rm, etc).

how can it be done in xbmc?

thanks for all helps.

video osd -> audio settings. switch to left or right channel as you need.

I'm not seeing any way to adjust the balance in one of the latest t3ch builds. Is that feature still available? I'm wondering if mine somehow got messed up. My left speaker is getting a lot more volume than my right speaker, and the stereo receiver is showing that as well.

notice this thread is from like 2 years ago.
There is no "balance" or "pan" control in XBMC, only channel selection. AFAIK there never has been such a control, just as XBMC does not have a graphic EQ.

I know it's an old thread, but it points to the problem I'm having.

your problem is almost certainly in either source material or playback hardware since as we have said XBMC does not even do that kind of processing...

Did this feature get removed in the newest release? There is only one audio setting under "Audio Stream" under audio settings of video osd. I've tried to toggle all settings in that menu, no luck.

same problem here. can not find the option to switch between left and right audio stream.

The audio stream option was available in the xbox version of XBMC but does not exist in the windows version I am using. It is very frustrating because I have a bunch of video files that require this feature to play.
