Help with white screen issue
#1
Sad
Ok after the request that I change my builds of OS X XBMC I now have an odd issue. The request was that I build for 10.4/ITV/10.5 instead of the 10.5 I was building before. Fine. Wiped my Hackintosh, installed clean 10.5.6, did the Xcode, macports, installed all the needed libs and apps, and everything went awesomely. no issues at all with the +universal installs. Did the build and when I launch XBMC all I see is a white screen. Everything seems to be running perfectly on both the system AND XBMC, but I can not see anything in the XBMC window.

I downloaded the installer package from xbmc.com and did the copy to my apps dir, and launched that one, and poof STILL white screen.

What am I doing so wrong?

Thanks in advance.

launching xbmc.app. everything worked on my old build enviroment. But it was 10.5 specific or so the Devs said Tongue I didn't have ITV or a 10.4 install to test, but I know it worked fine on my 10.5.6 This is the 1st time I have seen a white screen.

very odd, I've seen black screens when XBMC_HOME is not set. Never a white screen.

Again this is a brand new clean install of OS X, Xcode, Macports, and all relavent libs and apps.

Could it be the video card? I used to have a hd 1300 pro in that box on the old install, which meant I was pretty much just running Vesa. but I put in a HD2400 pro and used the boxed drivers when I installed OS X. ??

Looks like it does not see your graphics card and is defaulting back to sw rendering.

Quote:15:55:57 T:62330656 M:2218295296 NOTICE: GL_VENDOR = Apple Computer, Inc.
15:55:57 T:62330656 M:2218307584 NOTICE: GL_RENDERER = Apple Software Renderer

then barfs trying to make a context.

what does system profiler indicate regarding the graphics card ?
