Naming Movies with symbols

Windows doesn't allow you to use certain symbols when naming files or folders. What can I do to make XBMC recognize the movie if I can't use certain symbols. Specifically a colon. I tried omitting the colon but it didn't work.

ie. Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004)

Or just use an NFO file and name it any way you want. See the wiki for more info on NFO files.

I always copy the title from IMDB for my folder name and if windows happens to delete special characters, so be it, it stills works or has for me with 30 or so movies that have run into this situation.
