i wonder why the live version of XBMC stop booting if on our computer installed Twinhan DVB-S Card, i just found out since i removed this card and it booted smoothly.

any ideas how to disable autodetecting or at least skip installing drivers for unrecongnised card.

See what it does with the normal ubuntu intrepid livecd. Sounds like a kernel problem. If you can find the name of the kernel module the card uses, you can blacklist it from modprode. See the ubuntu forums for more info.
