OK, I know I retarded for asking this, but I can't find an obvious answer. I'm running the latest SVN rev that 3.1 installed on my aTV, and I can navigate to a VIDEO_TS folder and get the menu to launch. The arrows work great for navigating the choices in the menus, but when I want to actually select the "play movie" choice, it calls up the XBMC controller instead of actually passing and 'enter' to the DVD playback engine to make the movie start playing.
I've searched the forums and can't find an easy answer, so I am sure I am missing something obvious...
a push in the right direction would be most appreciated.

Two things... Not sure that I have understood correctly - Is the DVD image playing at all?
Second, 3.1 is the version of the launcher that you are using which is quite separate from the version of XBMC that you have installed.

yes the DVD is playing. I can get to the main DVD menu and can use the remote to switch between the different choices "Play Movie", "Scene Selection", "Setup" etc... I just can select any of them.
I meant I was running the latest version of XBMC that was available in the downloads area.

I noticed that I lost dvd menu play selection when switching to the r22528 dmg, from the original 9.04 (I think, whatever it was originally loaded by the patchstick).
copying the keymap.xml linked in the the above thread to profile\userdata folder fixed it, but it seems like it should be fixed in the build itself.
