I'm using XBMC for a long time now, have been a fan since the xbox version. Last year moved to the windows version because my box reached end of life and for the last couple of days trying to make a switch to the xbmclive version.
I'm also a linux noob, so this could be a common problem, most likely ...
I am trying to play a video file with the following information:
- codec: XVID
- res: 640x336
- framerate: 23.97600
- audio: mpga
- sample: 48 kHz
- bit 128 kb/s
- 3 streams with SPU (subtitles?) EN - SP - PORT
When starting this video my xbmc just reboots to the main screen. I just thought to report this because it is a video file of a recent DVDRip (2 weeks old) and my whole collection would play without any problem (MKV, HD-video, mp4, xvid, ...)
I tried playing the video file trough VLC on windows and it works, the weird thing is that it takes some time to start tough...
Hardware:
AMD 64 BE-2350 (64-bit x2)
nvidia Geforce 6600
2GB RAM
My XBMC setup:
- XBMC Live 9.04
- updated nvidia drivers (like: "apt-get install nvidia-glx-180")
- installed from the live CD to HDD
- architecture i686
debug log: http://pastebin.com/m7cb2186e
edit: Added log into pastebin (from xbmc.old.log)
