Support for growing and open files?
#1
when i playback movies (in my case mpeg2-ts files) from a smb share while they are being recorded, xbmc stops playback after it played the amount of data that the file had when playback started.

e.g. if i started recording a tv show five minutes ago and play the file with xbmc while the show is still being recorded, xbmc will stop after 5 minutes, though the file is not at it's end.

during playback xbmc should check if the file is growing. this would allow timeshifting of live streams.

cheers,

does mplayer for win32 support this? if not, you'd best petition them about it.
