I have The Cars Anthology (two disc set). In the artist list this shows up as The Cars and Cars. If I select The Cars I see
Anthology The Cars
Anthology Cars

If I select Cars I see
Anthology Cars


The Cars has both discs while Cars has disc two.

I have verified with an Tag Editor that all tracks lists the artist as The Cars.

Folder Structure

Rock&Pop
\ C
\ The Cars
\ Anthology
\ Disc 1
\ Tracks
\ Disc 2
\ Tracks

This has been like this for over a year and thee different version of XBMC. Each version has been a rescan of my library not an export an import.

Just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem with the Cars or any other two disc sets. My other two disc sets are showing up correctly.

This indicates it's definitely your tags. There's heaps of tag software that is less than perfect in displaying what tags are actually present in your files.

Use something like MediaMonkey or foobar2000.
