Cannot start xbmc
#1
I was trying to play around with NFO files for some things in my library and I wasn't getting results I wanted, so I deleted the database. After that, I cannot restart xbmc. I double click the icon and the screen goes black for a second, but then it crashes and I'm back to the desktop. I see in 'top' that the XBMCHelper is running, though. So, I deleted the .dmg file from my desktop and then redownload the whole thing. But, still the same problem. I'm assuming that there is other stuff I should be deleting, but I don't know what.

I'm still using 9.0.4 and I have an 'older' mac mini (1.6GHz single core).

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Chris

1) You are not running XBMC from the dmg, right?
Copy it to the "Applications" folder before to run it
2) Just delete the folder ~/Library/Application Support/XBMC
xbmc.log: /Users/<username>/Library/Logs/xbmc.log
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, I was just double clicking the disk image and then running xbmc from the 'mounted' XBMC drive. I deleted that directory and then I copied xbmc.app over to the 'Applications' folder and now it is running again.

Thanks again for your help.
