Query - Music Library
#1
Hi,

I'm sure im not the only person that has asked this in the past (I have search though and cant find anything).

Me and the Missus both have extensive music collections on our main PC's which is shared and picked up by XBMC on the HTPC, my problem is we have some duplicate albums.
They only show as 1 album in XBMC library mode, but when you look at the tracks they are duplicated.

Is there a way to stop this?

We only want the 1 library (easier, and we share similar music tastes)
Dont want to delete duplicates (we listen to music on main PC's also)

Please help! Smile

Nope - if you have 2 copies they'll show up 2 times. Only way out would be to split profile into 2 and have a separate profile for you and your wife.

Or you could just consolidate each library into one.

Cheers,
Jonathan

I did find a temporary solution, its not the best but seems to work for now.

If I make the Album folder hidden in Windows it wont pick up in XBMC.

Bit of a pain, but it fixes the duplication without having to physically remove the album from our PC's.
