Problem with camelon beta2 - not support hebrew !!
#1
With camelon beta 1 there is no problem at all for hebrew characters.

In camelon beta 2 instead of hebrew characters (both subtitles or international) i see squares..

Is this a bug in beta 2 ?

Please help !!

I've installed beta2 (first time i've tried XBMC and it's amazing. keep up the good job!) - Hebrew subtitles in movies are shown perfectly. But Hebrew filename have squares instead of letters in them.

anyone has an idea how to solve this?

I think it was mentioned that the font was changed from arial to liberation and maybe that is contributing to this?

I'm having the same problem after upgrading from beta1 to beta2.

Tried to uninstall and reinstall beta2 - didnt help. uninstalled and installed beta1 and now I do have hebrew subtitles working ok.

Hope for a solution in beta2 soon.

Thanks.

Meanwhile, the solution i get from XBMC:

"At some point between Camelot Beta 1 and Camelot Beta 2, the Arial.ttf that is included with XBMC stopped containing Hebrew fonts.

You can take ArialUNI.ttf from any windows machine and place it under:

/usr/share/xbmc/media/Fonts

You will then be able to select it from the font list under:

Settings -> Video -> Subtitles"

And it works perfect Smile
