Remote not working after suspend
#1
Hi,

I have strange problem with remote. It is working fine after first boot. Then when I suspend the system and wake it up from suspend the remote is not working. Even restarting lirc (/etc/init.d/lirc restart) does not help.
But what I found is that when I unplug the USB receiver from the PC and connect it again (to the same USB position) it is working again. After unplugging/plugging I can see this message on the console:
* Stopping remote control daemons(s): LIRC
* Loading LIRC modules

In my /etc/lirc/hardware.conf I have:
REMOTE="toshiba"
REMOTE_MODULES="lirc_dev lirc_atiusb"
REMOTE_DRIVER=""
REMOTE_DEVICE="/dev/lirc0"
REMOTE_SOCKET=""
REMOTE_LIRCS_CONF="atiusb/lirc/conf.atiusb"
REMOTE_LIRCD_ARGS=""

all TRANSMITTER values are ""

I aim running Ubuntu 9.10 + XBMC Live 9.11, my remote is Toshiba MCE Remote Control PX1246E-1ETC

Thanks!

I am having this exact same problem with XBMC Live 9.11.

My setup is a Xbox DVD Dongle + Harmony 720 (but I've tested with Original Xbox DVD and a compatible RCA universal).

Edit: Sorry I bumped this, the wiki is full of useful info:

Fix the Lirc Device Increment Bug section

To the above poster try changing the commented section to:

#rmmod lirc_atiusb
#modprobe lirc_atiusb

And uncomment.

Hi skmichi,

Could you please provide me your lirc.conf, hardware.conf and keymap.xml?

I'm also using a Toshiba MCE remote and the majority of keys are not mapped.

Thanks,
Anthon.
