The instructions and guides at xbmc-port-depends and in README.osx are quite clear about how to build macports for XBMC usage. If you deviate from the guide, you WILL fail at some point.
The AppleTV runs a 10.4/10.5 variant but it's 10.4 for the purpose of SDK target. You MUST target 10.4SDK and macports MUST be build the way described in the guides or you will fail at some point.

Thanks Cybernation but to me it also very much looks like the crystalhd stuff is missing:
17:00:26 T:2684407808 M: 3026944 DEBUG: SECTION:LoadDLL(libcrystalhd.dylib)
17:00:26 T:2684407808 M: 3031040 DEBUG: Loading: libcrystalhd.dylib
17:00:26 T:2684407808 M: 2945024 ERROR: Unable to load libcrystalhd.dylib, reason: dlopen(libcrystalhd.dylib, 1): image not found
17:00:26 T:2684407808 M: 2945024 DEBUG: Dll libcrystalhd.dylib was not found in path
17:00:26 T:2684407808 M: 2945024 INFO: CrystalHD: broadcom crystal hd not found
Or is it just me who didn't perform a certain step (of which I am unaware)?
