Theater Pack for Nuka1195's "Home Theater Experience" and "Cinema Experience" Scripts
#1
Thumbs Up
Initial note: Please do not use this thread to sell anything or direct link to copyrighted material. If any dev feels even a little uncomfortable with what is posted here, it will be removed without question.

A lot of us are loving the Home Theater Experience script that Nuka1195 (and giftie has carried on with) has re-created. http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=87563
There are a lot of good things floating around out there. I thought it would be nice to get it all together as one. I know we had a thread before that gathered a lot of info but it has been removed. This is a fresh start for a new package. Please add what you want and I will continue to add to the first post here.

FILES (actual files or how to make your own personalisations to them in some cases)
-------------------------------------------------
I have found a lot of old drive-in style ads and intermissions here: http://www.archive.org/details/DriveInMovieAds
The intermissions in the link mentioned above are fairly long (usually 10 mins) and had lots of good ads in them. So if you are interested in the ads only I have cut them out and put them into single files here. These are mostly food ads. I did cut out the local stores, churches etc ads. This is a 468M download so be warned.: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=H5D5FNI9

For a set of over 1300 slides and random other things, over at AVS Steven Good has been selling ($7) his original Coke slides for a few years now. I bought these a couple years ago when the Vol 5 set came out (they are now on Vol 6). I like the slides a lot and they bring very high praises from others. His templates are also included just in case you want to make your own. He is really not making much/any profit on these since he snail mails you a physical DVD with a case shipped in a bubble wrap envelope. this also helps cover the paypal fee. These can ship to USA and Canada only AFAIK. For more information and details see his thread here: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1152886

update 2/3/2010:
Trailers of all kinds here. Although I linked this page in the above posts I only linked the HD trailers. Here is a link to SD and HD Audio and Movies trailers.: http://www.demo-world.eu/trailers/

UPDATE 2/8/2010:
Not really HTE script related but here is where you can download signs for your favorite audio/video brand or even a nice looking XBMC sign. Register on the site to get the Hi-Res versions of them. Smile

Here are examples of how people are using these. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1062844

Here are some custom theater sign marquees. These are psd files and were grabbed from this thread. See examples here. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthrea...cket+booth

Here's an upload that contains pretty much everything listed by SlaveUnit above in one 800+ MB file.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9L74YR27

To be perfectly clear, this was all downloaded from the sources mentioned above. If there are any objections to any of the content, please let me know and I will remove, repackage, reupload - and then update this thread.

The folders match the names of each section as seen in the settings of HTE script.

With these exceptions:
1. Movie Ratings folder is named "Ratings" folder".
2. There is no "Coming Attractions Outro" folder. (This is because I just select the "Advertisements" folder for that selection).

Trivia section - in the Q&A folder there is a fully functioning slides.xml file that is set to rated "G". All of the Q&A files have been renamed to fit the parameters of that xml file's requirements for naming conventions. I believe the regex will work for other naming conventions -but can't confirm since I quite cheerfully borrowed it from some other more intelligent person's post (my apologies unknown Man/ Woman of Genius!).

I have not tested the slides.xml with the Screenshots Quiz or Movie Quotes sections, but will update this post when I've had a chance to.

Finally - I've written a quick guide on exactly what is HTE - which then links an article on how to quickly configure HTE using the information that SlaveUnit has provided. And that article in turn links to another article on how to use HTE.

Hope it helps!

Thanks a lot, that was really helpful.
There was a broken link in one of the guides, but I reported that in the comment section for that page.

Ok so I haven't updated this since the data loss. I have collected quite a bit. If people are interested I will upload a pack type setup with everything I have minus the coke slide and music that I have for the script. Any interest? I only ask first because it'll be about 5.5gb total. Most is sorted but some isn't. But I am sure people can find some kind of use for it all. Smile

Here they are. Please let me know if you have any issues. Part 7 may have screwed up and I might have to upload again. And please if anyone has anything not included on this pack to share the wealth. Thanks all.

Can't wait to check out the pack SlaveUnit. Thanks for taking the time to compile and upload it. We had our first family movie night last night using the script and it was a huge hit! Really made the difference in the experience! With our true theater seating, 100" screen and HD projector, it was awesome! Big thanks to Nuka1955 and everyone who had a part in making this.

Then you should love all the random stuff in the pack. Once again just let me know if the Part 7 fails.

Just finished downloading all the files and extracted. Everything looks good. 1639 files = 5.94 GB. Time to get me a cup of coffee and start browsing through it. It feels like Christmas! Big Grin

haha ok good. No need for me to reupload then. Just take these with a grain of salt. Some are great and some arent the best quality. But I upped them all because some people might be on a 27" TV and itll look great. Others on a 100" screen might not like things as much.

There seems to be a problem. Parts 1-5(XBMC Home Theater Experience script.part01-05) have a different file name than parts 6-8(XBMC Home Theater Experience Pack.part06-08)
