ATI HD5000 Series & Native DXVA
#1
Hi,

There was a thread similar to this before the server crash, so i thought i would restart it.

Basically i have a ATI HD5450 and am using the latest SVN. When i enable DXVA the screen flickers constantly almost like the refresh is wrong.

DXVA works fine in other apps like MPC-HC so it must be XBMC related.

Does anyone have the same issue? Or workarounds?

Thanks

debug log would be interesting, but i don't really plan to do much dxva debugging more untill we update our ffmpeg version.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.
Do not e-mail XBMC-Team members directly asking for support. Read/follow the forum rules.
For troubleshooting and bug reporting please make sure you read this first.

Unless you have a fairly new build you won't. See here http://mirrors.xbmc.org/nightlies/win32/ for up to date builds.

Thanks, I installed the latest build.

If I enable dxva, many of my movies stop working. I just get a black screen, the progress bar says the movie is playing, but its just black.

On 'auto detect' the movies play fine.

I don't have problems with stuttery playback anyways, but it would be nice to let the graphics card do the work.

ati 5850, win7 64 bit.

To get the black screen off I think some were able to change their antialias settings in the ATI CCC.

Thanks for the help guys. I always leave mine to application controlled for gaming compatibility. Anything else I should check?
