Thanks Davilla - which is the reason I continue to use only XBMC exclusively

Yes, every option in Settings>Video>Playback is enabled and no issues. I'm using the HDMI connected to a Denon receiver. No playback issues with Dharma - only Plex.9.

I also have a unibody Macbook Pro and BOTH plex.9 and dharma play ALL videos perfectly - which is another surprise - Macbook Pro has NVidia 9400 GPU and running 10.6.4

Since you are the ONLY one that claims to be running 10.6.4 with VDA on and are having no issues, could you:

1. MediaInfo of file
2. Screenshot of video playing /w decode info (press "o")

That's what imageshack and/or other photo hosting sites are for...

Like I thought...
1. Thats not a BluRay rip
2. If you read This Thread you would see that Avatar played fine anyway.

Looks like a Blu-ray rip to me, 720p and all...

if it's 720p, it's a bluray transcode and not a raw rip. Bluray is native 1080p.

Ok. here is a 1080p rip of Wedding Singer another file that plays perfectly on the mini in dharma but not in plex

Are these "scene" rips? Supplying MediaInfo could help. Still suspect these are transcodes. BluRay Source Rips = raw Bluray audio and video wrapped in a .mkv.

Easy test would be if you have a "true" Bluray rip of Alice in Wonderland (2010). You won't get pass the opening screen. You may be able to download a sample to play in the thread I reference earlier.

Does the Alice in Wonderland BR Rip work fine in 10.6.3 though?

EDIT: That file is encoded badly, it plays but is all blocky on my i5 mac.

Then you have a different issue...

1. The sample runs fine with 10.6.3 on the new MacMini (what we are talking about here)
2. The file is the raw Bluray file from the disc. Looks perfect on my setup.

Sorry that Alice file does play fine, I was talking about the first file posted in that post.
