Dharma 10.0 Beta 1 has broke my Revo's sound
#16
I have the official Dharma Beta 1 Live installation. Was working perfectly (apart from a few well known minor bugs).

Got bored while waiting for the mistress to ready herself for a night out on town, so i sat down to play a bit. I also managed to loose the sound through running apt-get update/apt-get upgrade. Tried several things to get it working again, but it was the instructions posted above by DejaVu77 that solved it for me. Strange thing though.. when running alsaconf it said "No soundcard detected" and I cancelled the configuration. Fixed the problem anyway...

BTW... I have pretty much no idea about what im doing when I copy/paste those commands. The last installation I had was COMPLETLEY borked. A clever friend informed me. I woudnt know since XBMC still worked somehow Smile Yay for the internet copy/pase guides hehe!

"sudo apt-get update"

"sudo apt-get install xbmc"

Using upgrade can sometimes cause problems.

cheers

This worked fine to update my revo/Xbmcfreak install.
Thanks
